ROCA New mexico is a college access program for rural students.

 

ROCA NM (Rural Opportunities for College Access New Mexico) is a week-long college access program for rural first-generation college-going students interested in exploring college options outside the state of New Mexico. Students participate in a free, overnight four-day college search and application workshop with college access professionals and college representatives from around the country. Whether writing essays, building college lists, or exploring their identity as rural students, participants in ROCA NM will leave prepared to pursue their college dreams, wherever they lead.

Current 9th & 10th graders who are interested in ROCA can stay in touch by completing an interest form– we’ll reach back out when you’re eligible to apply.

ROCA NM was launched in January 2021 by a group of educators in northern new mexico.

The result of a unique partnership between Northern New Mexico College, the Davis New Mexico Scholarship, and the Los Alamos National Lab Foundation, ROCA NM strives to provide a bridge to college for first-generation college-going students from across Northern New Mexico.

ROCA NM is a proud affiliate partner of the Davis New Mexico Scholarship.

Students who complete ROCA NM will be eligible to apply to the Davis New Mexico Scholarship. The scholarship covers the full cost of attendance to one of six out-of-state partner colleges.
